What We Do
— We Build Networks
The MiS Facebook Group started out as a place for like-minded Musicians to dialog about the current state of our nation and how systemic racism affects our music communities. Today, the group is 3.1 K Member strong and has developed into a full fledged 501 ( c) 3 non-profit organization.
— We Provide Resources
Musicians in Solidarity aims to become a valuable resource for Musicians by way of providing professional, educational and financial resources to industry professionals to stimulate both personal and professional growth.
— We Consult
We work closely with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Professionals to develop programs that have a true impact in creating equitable working environments for industry professionals.
— We Educate
MiS has teamed up with Ethos Music Center to bring the joy of music to 20 new students for the 2021/2022 school year through the Make Waves Music Initiative.
— We Find & Fund
We locate organizations and individual projects led by or in service of underserved community members to collaborate and inject financial support and professional services to accomplish partner objectives with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion.
— We Strengthen
We strengthen our communities by providing opportunities for BIPOC artists and industry professionals in inclusive environments at equitable rates.
